Terms of use
Short version: it is a teaching and research tool, it comes with no warranty, and its numbers are not a substitute for engineering analysis.
What this is
A solver for the 2D heat equation and two reaction-diffusion models, with its convergence and stability behaviour published in the Validation tab. It is intended for education and research.
No warranty
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Every result is an approximation produced by a discretised numerical scheme and carries discretisation error; the explicit scheme is only stable below its diffusion-number limit, and results near that limit should be treated with care. Do not rely on these outputs for safety-critical, medical, structural or other consequential decisions.
Fair use
Each run spawns a solver process, so simulation requests are rate limited per IP address. Please do not attempt to circumvent that limit, run automated load against the service, or otherwise interfere with its availability for other people.
Your data
Run output is deleted automatically after the retention window, and your run history lives only in your own browser. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to delete on request. See the privacy page for the detail.
Availability
No uptime is promised. The service may change or be withdrawn at any time, and stored run output may be removed earlier than the stated retention window.
